Transgender Clients

Transgender Clients

PMU, or permanent makeup or SMP, Scalp Micropigmentation, can be a helpful option for transgender clients looking to enhance their appearance or alleviate dysphoria.

Here are some key considerations for PMU or SMP for our transgender clients. 👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼

🏳️‍⚧️ Eyebrows: Many transgender individuals seek PMU for eyebrows to create a more defined shape or fill in gaps. We can work with the client to choose a shape that aligns with their desired gender expression.

⚧️ Eyeliner: PMU eyeliner can help transgender individuals achieve a more defined and feminine or masculine look, depending on their desired outcome. We can discuss options such as thicker or thinner lines, winged eyeliner, or different colours.

🏳️‍⚧️ Lips: PMU can be used to enhance the appearance of the lips, adding definition, color, or correcting asymmetry. Transgender clients may opt for a more feminine or masculine lip shape and colour, based on their preferences.

⚧️ Facial hair simulation: Some trans men may opt for SMP to simulate the appearance of facial hair, particularly for those who are unable to grow a full beard or have patchy facial hair. We can create the illusion of stubble or a beard, enhancing the client's masculinity.

🏳️‍⚧️ Scalp Micropigmentation: (SMP) can be an effective option for trans men who are looking to enhance their appearance and address concerns related to hair loss or thinning. SMP is a non-surgical procedure that deposits pigment into the scalp, creating the illusion of hair follicles and providing a fuller, more defined look.

⚧️ Scar camouflage: Many transgender individuals may have scars or markings from previous surgeries or hormone therapy. PMU can help camouflage these scars, making them less noticeable and boosting self-confidence.

🏳️‍⚧️ Areola reconstruction: For transgender individuals who have undergone chest surgery, areola reconstruction can be done through PMU to create a more natural-looking appearance. We can work with the client to determine the desired size, shape, and color of the areolas.
